About The Position

CEVEA is St. Thomas's nonpartisan Civic Engagement, Voter Education and Advocacy Taskforce. We are inviting Tommies to join the St. Thomas Student CEVEA Team for Fall 2026. This is a paid position. Student Voter Ambassadors will have, at maximum, 40 hours of employment during the election season. We are ideally looking to hire 2 students from DFC and 2 students from the St. Paul campus.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student at St. Thomas (including DFC).
  • Willingness to interact with peers in different contexts.
  • A commitment to educating peers about the importance of voter registration, becoming an informed voter, and being an actively engaged community member.
  • Not presently serving in a fellowship role for another partisan or nonpartisan organization.
  • Must be degree seeking at the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels.
  • Must be actively enrolled at least part-time in courses for credit.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and implement voter registration events.
  • Organize and implement voter education events and programs.
  • Conduct peer education class presentations.
  • Participate in social media/marketing campaigns.
  • Complete at least 5 total election engagement activities such as voter registrations, class presentations, or event leadership.
  • Compose and submit a post-election report to summarize activities and accomplishments.
