University of Wisconsin StoutStevens Point, WI

About The Position

Student Teaching Supervisors are responsible for supporting UWSP teacher candidates (including undergraduate and graduate level student teachers, interns, etc.) throughout their student teaching semester and completing the observation assessments outlined under PI-34.023 and required for licensure. While there may not be an immediate need for a student teaching supervisor in every subject area and grade level, UW-Stevens Point (UWSP) accepts applications regardless, in order to create a pool for when there may be a need. Upon successful submission of your application, you will be considered for future student teaching supervisor opportunities, and your application will be on file as a potential candidate who could possibly fill a position if or when the need arises. UWSP places student teachers across the entire state of Wisconsin. Supervision needs are based on the total number of teacher candidates, their license areas, and placement locations. The School of Education (SOE) is part of the College of Professional Studies. SOE develops highly qualified professional educators and leaders who honor the uniqueness of all learners and actively demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and dispositions to positively impact our diverse world for a sustainable future. Our goal is to have positive impacts on Wisconsin schools and learners through supportive collaboration, innovation, and professional development.
