Student Teacher Supervisor
About The Position
Vermont State University is seeking a Student Teacher Supervisor to instruct and supervise student teachers during practical clinical work in an appropriate school setting and provide written evaluations of their performance. The supervisor counsels student teachers, visits their clinical experience sites, observes and evaluates their performance, confers with cooperating teachers, debriefs after forums and/or seminars, assists with reviewing written portfolios, and serves as a liaison between Vermont State University and area schools. The position also requires completing forms documenting student teaching and licensure recording. Travel is required, and the supervisor must have a reliable vehicle. This is a 9-month position supporting the spring semester.

Responsibilities
- Instruct and supervise student teachers during practical clinical work in an appropriate school setting.
- Provide written evaluations of student teachers’ performances.
- Counsel student teachers regularly.
- Visit student teachers at their clinical experience sites.
- Observe and evaluate student teachers’ performance.
- Confer with cooperating teachers.
- Debrief after forums and/or seminars.
- Assist with reviewing student teachers’ written portfolios.
- Serve as a liaison between Vermont State University and area schools.
