About The Position

Clarifi Staffing Solutions is seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher for a self-contained classroom in Illinois. The classroom serves approximately 10 students with diverse learning and support needs, primarily students with autism, including learners who require intensive support. The teacher will create a structured, encouraging environment where students can build skills and make progress toward personalized goals. The schedule is 8:30 AM–3:40 PM.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field.
• Strong communication, classroom management, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to deliver individualized instruction and maintain a safe, organized, and supportive classroom.
• Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with the appropriate Special Education endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Manage instruction in a self-contained classroom of approximately 10 students with diverse learning and support needs.
• Develop and deliver individualized instruction aligned with students’ IEPs, abilities, and educational goals.
• Adapt teaching approaches for students with autism, including students who require significant assistance.
• Establish predictable routines and use classroom management and positive behavioral strategies.
• Evaluate student progress toward academic and developmental objectives and maintain accurate student records.
• Participate in IEP meetings, assist with goal development, and collaborate with the school team to support student success.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and supportive classroom.
