About The Position

Information Technology is looking for a motivated college student with excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to support the day-to-day operations of the campus computer lab environment. Secondary responsibilities will include assisting with vulnerability management efforts and managing the university's Extended Detection and Response (XDR) platform.

Requirements

  • A current GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Proven experience as a Help Desk Technician, System Administrator, or other entry level IT service role.
  • Strong understanding of computer hardware and software.
  • Experience with Windows operating systems.
  • Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, etc.).
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the management and maintenance of the campus computer lab environment.
  • Identify and remediate vulnerabilities on client systems using enterprise Extended Detection and Response (XDR) platform.
  • Assist guests, students, faculty and staff in diagnosing issues with software and workstations.
  • Deploy software to workstations utilizing enterprise configuration management solutions.
  • Document system configurations and procedures.
  • Must be available to work during the summer to prepare the computing environment for fall semesters.
