POSITION: Surgical Tech (Cert)
POSITION SUMMARY: A person currently enrolled in an accredited Surgical Technology Program who actively participates in the care of the surgical patient. Working under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse and assisted by staff Surgical Technologists, attends to the patient’s direct care needs performing tasks delegated by the Registered Nurse. Works in partnership with the Registered Nurse at all times. Supports an organizational culture for Service Excellence and practices the Service Excellence Standards to all customer groups.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an accredited surgical technology program with completion of skills for aseptic technique, sterilization, instrument identification, and medical terminology

Responsibilities

• Attends to the patient’s direct care needs performing tasks delegated by the Registered Nurse.
• Works in partnership with the Registered Nurse at all times.
• Supports an organizational culture for Service Excellence and practices the Service Excellence Standards to all customer groups.
