CKRHS - Student Supervisor (Term)
About The Position
Central Kings Rural High School is seeking a Student Supervisor for a term position from September 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027. This role involves providing general indoor and/or outdoor student supervision for 5.50 hours per day. The terms and conditions of employment, including wages, are in accordance with the Nova Scotia Government and General Employees Union (NSGEU) Local 73 Bargaining Unit. This position is subject to the Annual Layoff/Recall Process as per Articles 29 & 30 of the NSGEU Local 73 Collective Agreement. Requirements
- Develop and maintain positive rapport with students.
- Current CPR and First Aid training.
- Previous experience working with children and/or adolescents.
- Ability to exercise good judgment and take initiative.
- Bona fide occupational requirements of the position, including physical ability.
Responsibilities
- Provide supervision for students before and after school, during the lunch and recess breaks.
- Familiarization of any medical or programs students may have (e.g. specific behaviour plans).
- Report to the principal or designate any problem or discipline issue that occurred during supervision.
- Other duties that are site specific (polices and protocol) and within the scope of responsibility of the position.
