Student Research Assistant (Federal Work Study)

About The Position
The Student Research Assistant supports microbiological research by performing routine laboratory preparation and maintenance tasks. Duties include preparing culture media and common laboratory solutions; preparing glassware and plasticware; managing biological waste; maintaining laboratory cleanliness; and tracking laboratory inventories. The position is 10 hours per week and is time-limited.
Requirements
- Participate in the Federal Work Study Program.
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Have completed at least one semester of college.
Nice To Haves
- Basic laboratory skills are preferred but not required.
