About The Position

This position involves assisting with evidence reviews in nutrition and health research. The role requires the ability to read and understand scientific literature, identify study characteristics, and screen studies based on inclusion/exclusion criteria. The workload will fluctuate, with up to 20 hours per week. This is a security-sensitive position requiring a criminal history investigation.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in TAMU graduate program.
  • Experience with nutrition research or a related field (e.g., public health, epidemiology).
  • Experience with data analysis and interpretation.
  • Computer access.
  • Ability to understand scientific literature related to nutrition and health.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability for critical thinking.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to read and understand scientific literature, including being able to identify study characteristics such as populations, interventions/exposures, comparators, and outcomes.
  • Knowledge of different types of study designs and ability to identify study designs.
  • Screen studies for evidence reviews by comparing literature to a set of inclusion/exclusion criteria.
