About The Position

The Student Records & Curricular Specialist I plays a vital role in advancing UW‑Green Bay’s mission to provide access-focused, student-centered education that strengthens individuals and communities across Northeast Wisconsin. This position collaborates with students, faculty, and staff to support the development, implementation, and maintenance of student records and curricular services. By ensuring accurate records, clear degree pathways, and responsive service, the Specialist helps empower student success and contributes to institutional excellence aligned with UW‑Green Bay’s strategic priorities. Key responsibilities include data entry, transcript and degree requirement review, testing new XML Parchment functionality, supporting compliance efforts related to ACT 15 and the new common General Education Requirements (cGER), and updating transfer equivalencies impacted by Core Curriculum changes in SIS and TES/Transferology. Requirements

  • Associate's Degree
  • Strong skills in use of computer applications including student information system functions (PeopleSoft)
  • Ability to accurately process detailed data entry transactional work

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • General understanding of Degree Audits within a College/University
  • One year of work experience completing data entry and other transactions completed in the transfer evaluation process
  • Knowledge of the use of CollegeSource products (TES and Transferology)

Responsibilities

  • Support the creation of new Transfer Electives aligning with cGER categories.
  • Support the creation and testing new general education requirement in Stellic.
  • Adjust TES, Transferology, and Peoplesoft rulings to display cGER attributes.
  • Adjust rules on UW courses once courses have been included in their cGER models
  • Implements, interprets, and enforces instructional, professional, and legal standards and regulations related to student, curricular, and academic records
  • Audits and corrects data to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Ensures correct and timely management of student records, course registration, and degree audits within the student information systems
  • Collaborates with students, academic deans, faculty, advisors, and staff to resolve curricular and student record issues
