About The Position

BJC HealthCare System is now hiring a PRN Student Radiology Technologist for Barnes-Jewish Hospital Main floor Plaza West Tower. Are you currently studying radiology and eager to gain hands-on experience in a leading academic medical center? This PRN position offers a flexible schedule in the evenings after clinicals/school or on the weekends, with a minimum requirement of 8 hours per week. You will be assisting technologists with exams, taking patients back to their rooms in the ER, and assisting with portable and trauma exams. Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED or higher level of education
• Currently enrolled in a Radiology School Program
• No prior experience necessary —training provided!
• Must be currently enrolled in an imaging program.
• Illinois: Following IEMA guidelines as it pertains to administering radiation/making exposures.

Responsibilities

• Assists the technologist with imaging procedures. Students require direct supervision in surgery.
• Escorts or transports patients to and from examination area, assists technologist with patient transfers to and from imaging tables, and assists patient as needed.
• Assists outpatients with completing information necessary to the procedure.
