About The Position

BJC HealthCare System is now hiring a Part-Time / PRN Student Radiology Technologist for Barnes-Jewish Hospital in our state-of-the-art new Tower! Are you currently studying radiology and eager to gain hands-on experience in a leading academic medical center? This position offers a flexible schedule, working around school hours with options for evenings and weekends. The preferred shift time is evenings (Mon-Fri), primarily in the Emergency Department (ED).

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED or higher level of education
• Currently enrolled in a Radiology School Program
• No prior experience necessary —training provided!
• Under the supervision of a registered technologist performs imaging procedures to adult and pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders.
• Must be currently enrolled in an imaging program.
• Following IEMA guidelines as it pertains to administering radiation/making exposures.

Responsibilities

• Assists the technologist with imaging procedures. Students require direct supervision in surgery.
• Escorts or transports patients to and from examination area, assists technologist with patient transfers to and from imaging tables, and assists patient as needed.
• Assists outpatients with completing information necessary to the procedure.
