Discover opportunities to make a difference at RTX This position will report to the Engineering Knowledge Management leader within engineering & technology, but also dotted line report to Human Resources. Candidate will provide support to the Student Programs Project Manager with planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating functional Business Unit student intern and co-op events and activities to achieve cost, schedule, and performance requirements. This role is onsite in Cedar Rapids, IA What You Will Do: Provides project management support to help plan, coordinate and execute events within Mission Systems Engineering & Technology for the Student Program. Ensure engagement and coordination with Human Resources and Campus Programs. Support and drive key student program initiatives some examples include Human Resource projects, recruiting, student employee experience, on-boarding, along with performance management. Communication with customer and vendor interface and communication with various levels of leadership and organize and lead student employee events onsite in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Collaborate with Human Resources, Employee Communications, Engineering and other groups to publicize and promote engineering programs. Skills developed: Coordination/Planning, Marketing, Communication, Public Relations, Event Planning, Creative writing. What You Will Learn: Experience leading projects and working in a team environment Learn and develop project management by working with the leadership team Work hand in hand with the team to ensure onsite intern/coop event are successful for the Cedar Rapids location

Requirements

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
