About The Position

This is a part-time Summer Student Intern position within the 85037 Wake Forest University Health Sciences - Academic Public Health Sciences: Implementation Science department. The intern will work approximately 20 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 12 PM. The role involves patient and family visits, delivery of support services, participation in studies, investigations, research projects, and other assignments. Additionally, the intern will provide administrative support, including answering phones, maintaining computer data, typing documents, creating spreadsheets and presentations, assisting with research projects, data analysis, report creation, data entry, and filing. Effective verbal and written communication with all levels within the System and the public is essential.

Requirements

• GED or equivalent, Undergraduate, Master's or Postgraduate enrollment required.
• Excellent planning, prioritizing, oral/written communication, interpersonal, problem solving, and team skills required.
• Ability to work collaboratively as a team member and ability to respond creatively to a rapidly changing environment required.
• Computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties including patient and family visits, delivery of support services, studies, investigations, research projects, and other assignments.
• Provides administrative coverage of the office such as answering phone and maintaining computer data.
• Types documents such as letters and creates spreadsheets and presentations.
• Assists with research projects, data analysis, and/or creating various reports.
• Assists with entering data and filing.
• Communicates verbally and in writing with all levels within the System and with the public.
