About The Position

This posting is for a Student Part-Time Professor position for the course DTI6300: Foundations of Immersive Virtual Reality during the 2026 Fall Semester. Requirements

Experience designing and developing immersive virtual reality applications using industry-standard tools such as Unity and C#.
Strong understanding of core VR concepts including immersion, presence, user interaction, locomotion, usability, comfort, and optimization for head-mounted displays (HMDs).
Experience developing interactive 2D/3D applications, serious games, simulations, or educational VR experiences.
Knowledge of cross-platform deployment and performance optimization for desktop and mobile immersive applications.
Familiarity with software development best practices, debugging, system integration, and collaborative development workflows.
Excellent programming skills in languages relevant to immersive technologies, such as C#, Java, Python, C/C++, or JavaScript.
Previous teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or teaching assistant experience in programming, software engineering, computer systems, or related technical subjects.
