About The Position
The Faculty of Social Sciences, specifically the School of Sociological and Anthropological Studies, is seeking a Student Part-Time Professor for ANT3133 A00, Medical Anthropology, during the Winter 2027 semester. This course will examine theoretical approaches in medical anthropology, including the knowledge, technologies, policies, and experiences of health, disease, and the body, and their connections to local and global contexts. The position is limited to current graduate students.
Requirements
- M.A. in anthropology and completed anthropology Ph.D. coursework or more advanced training in anthropology.
- Demonstrable track record of expertise in the field of medical anthropology (previous teaching experience in the same or similar course or publications in the field).
- Must be a current graduate student.
- Competence in a second language (passive).
Nice To Haves
- Previous teaching experience in Medical Anthropology or a similar course.
- Publications in the field of medical anthropology.
