About The Position

The Telfer School of Management is seeking a Student Part-Time Professor to teach Operations Management (ADM3301P) during the Winter 2027 semester. This course covers the nature and context of Operations Management for manufacturing and service sectors, including operations strategy, supply chain management, planning and control of operations (forecasting, aggregate planning, inventory control, MRP, ERP), and quality management. The teaching method will be delivered online (synchronous live).

Requirements

• MBA or Master's degree (PhD preferred) in operations management.
• Demonstrated recent professional experience in operations management.
• Knowledge of the area as per the course description.
• Teaching experience, preferably in the area of the course.
• Ability to teach in English.
• Passive competence in a second language.

Responsibilities

• Teach Operations Management (ADM3301P) during the Winter 2027 semester.
• Deliver course content online via synchronous live sessions.
• Manage course operations including planning, forecasting, aggregate planning, inventory control, MRP, and ERP.
• Incorporate quality management and control principles into teaching.
• Engage with students in a way that fosters respect, teamwork, and inclusion.

Benefits

• Hourly rate of $239.47 (2024-2025) for teaching.
• Vacation pay and statutory pay are not included in the hourly rate.
