About The Position

This posting is for a Student Part-Time Professor position for the course POL4527 - Politique étrangère états-unienne during the Winter 2027 semester at the University of Ottawa's Faculty of Social Sciences, School of Political Studies. The course offers a critical study of the history and current state of US foreign policy, examining the role of culture, ideologies, practices, and political institutions. It will reflect on key issues in US national construction and political development, such as immigration, technology, national security, race relations, military activities, intellectual traditions, popular culture, and gender relations, using various analytical traditions. The course will be delivered in person, but the mode of instruction may change due to health or other reasons. Requirements

  • Doctorate or doctoral coursework in the field of the announced course.
  • Teaching experience in the field.
  • This course is posted for PhD students.
  • Clearly indicate skills and qualifications in the CV.
  • Applicants who have never taught at the University of Ottawa should submit information describing their previous teaching experiences or training in their CV or supplementary documents (as per article 10.9.2).
  • Competence in the second language (French).
