About The Position

This position is for a Student Part-Time Professor to teach ADM1370A - Applications of Information Technology for Business during the Fall 2026 academic period at the Telfer School of Management. The course introduces information technology tools for operational, tactical, and strategic decision-making, covering business applications, problem-solving with spreadsheets, databases, and collaborative tools. It also introduces business intelligence and performance management concepts and tools, focusing on IT applications in functional areas like marketing, sales, HR, and finance.

Requirements

  • MBA or Master's degree (preferably PhD) in a field directly related to the applications of information technology for business.
  • Demonstrate recent professional experience in the course area.
  • Solid knowledge of information technologies (IT) in organizations.
  • Knowledge of IT use in main organizational business areas.
  • Knowledge of collaborative communication systems such as social networks.
  • Excellent knowledge of spreadsheets and databases (particularly Excel and Access).
  • Teaching experience, preferably in information technology for business.

Nice To Haves

  • PhD candidates in a field directly related to the applications of information technology for business are prioritized.
  • An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as equivalent to the educational requirements and/or demonstrated experience.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Applications of Information Technology for Business (ADM1370A).
  • Deliver instruction in person.
  • Potentially adapt teaching methods due to health measures or other reasons.
