About The Position

This posting is for a Regular Part-Time Professor position to teach Mathematics for Business (ADM1305C) during the Fall 2026 academic period at the Telfer School of Management, University of Ottawa. The course focuses on fundamental mathematical skills for business problem-solving and decision-making, utilizing mathematical models and specialized techniques. Topics include functions as mathematical models, equation-solving techniques, differential and integral calculus, exponential and partial derivatives, and their applications in economic functions. The instruction language is English.

Requirements

Master's or PhD degree (PhD preferred) with a specialization directly related to mathematical or quantitative modeling and their applications.
Thorough academic and teaching experience in the topics of the course (functions, sequences, series, calculus, differential equations, algebra, etc.).
Familiarity with applications of quantitative approaches to management.
Pertinent teaching experience in similar learning environments using business contextualization, cases, or examples.
Knowledge and first-hand experience of quantitative trends in key organizational and managerial functions such as Analytics, Finance, Marketing, Operations, etc.

Responsibilities

Teach Mathematics for Business (ADM1305C) during the Fall 2026 semester.
Utilize mathematical models and specialized techniques for problem-solving and decision-making in business.
Cover topics including functions, equation-solving, calculus, derivatives, and their applications.
Employ business contextualization, cases, or examples in teaching.
