About The Position

The University of Ottawa, Faculty of Social Sciences, School of Political Studies is seeking a Student Part-Time Professor for the Fall 2026 semester to teach POL3770 - Analyse qualitative en science politique. The course focuses on the epistemology and logic of qualitative analysis, introducing various approaches and methodologies such as participant and non-participant observation, documentary historical analysis, comparative method, discourse analysis, political ethnography, interviews, and multi-method approaches. The course will be delivered online in a synchronous, scheduled format with live instruction. The University provides training for online course delivery. The teaching mode may change due to health or other reasons. Requirements

  • Doctorate or doctoral coursework in the field of the announced course.
  • Teaching experience in the field.
  • This course is posted for PhD students.
  • Clearly indicate skills and qualifications in the CV.
  • Applicants who have never taught at the University of Ottawa should submit information describing their prior teaching experience or training in their CV or supplementary documents (article 10.9.2).
  • Completion of all mandatory legislated training as required by provincial law.
