About The Position

The Department of English at the Faculty of Arts is seeking a Student Part-Time Professor for ENG1120, Selected Topics in Literature and Composition, during the 2027 Winter Semester. This course focuses on developing critical reading skills and coherent discourse, with an emphasis on the proper use and acknowledgement of sources. Readings from multiple genres will serve as the basis for discussions and frequent written assignments. This course is not repeatable for credit and is not intended for English Majors or Honours students. The course will be delivered online, with scheduled classes on Wednesdays from 19:00 to 22:00, though the schedule is subject to change.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in English.
  • An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.
  • Completion of all mandatory legislated training as required by provincial law.
