About The Position
The Department of English at the Faculty of Arts is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach ENG1120 MZ00, Selected Topics in Literature and Composition, during the 2027 Winter Semester. This course focuses on developing critical reading skills and coherent discourse, with an emphasis on the proper use and acknowledgement of sources. Readings will span multiple genres and will be the basis for frequent written assignments. This course is not repeatable for credit and is not intended for English Majors or Honours students. The language of instruction is English.
Requirements
- Ph.D (English)
- An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.
- Employees are required under provincial law to successfully complete all mandatory legislated training.

- Research expertise and publications in this area strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Teach ENG1120 MZ00, Selected Topics in Literature and Composition.
- Develop and deliver course content focusing on critical reading, coherent discourse, and source citation.
- Assign and grade frequent written assignments based on topic-based readings in multiple genres.
- Conduct an online course with a schedule subject to change.
