About The Position

This opportunity is for an 8-month term beginning in September 2026. The role involves supporting the planning and delivery of programs in the Retail, Residential, and Office sectors, with a focus on Sustainability and Operations. The successful candidate will report to the Director, Sustainability and receive mentorship, coaching, and guidance. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and proactive, with strong communication skills, an eagerness to learn, and an interest in supporting complex, cross-functional initiatives. A collaborative mindset and openness to feedback are key to thriving in this role.

Requirements

  • Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Environmental Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related ESG-focused field.
  • Passionate about advancing sustainability in the built environment and eager to contribute to real-world ESG initiatives.
  • Thrive in collaborative environments, are open to feedback, and enjoy managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
  • Intellectually curious, self-motivated, and committed to continuous learning.
  • Can produce clear, logical, and polished deliverables.
  • Able to prioritize tasks effectively and deliver high-quality work within deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel, and comfortable learning new software or platforms and working with data.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with project management or experience supporting process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Support green building certifications (e.g., BOMA Best, LEED O+M, Zero Carbon Building - Performance), including coordination with site teams, tracking requirements, maintaining documentation, and supporting submissions.
  • Support sustainability reporting across the portfolio by collecting, organizing, validating, and quality‑checking utility, water, and waste data; ensuring accurate, audit‑ready documentation for internal and external reporting.
  • Complete tenant sustainability requests, including energy, emissions, and certification‑related disclosures, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
  • Support and/or manage data variance investigation by preparing and validating datasets, responding to information requests, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to improve data quality, accuracy, and insight.
  • Support social impact tracking and reporting, including data aggregation and highlighting impactful initiatives and events across the portfolio.
  • Maintain program libraries, file repositories, templates, and standard documentation for sustainability programs to ensure consistency and knowledge retention.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support the development of scalable and automated reporting solutions.
  • Maintain data tracking tools, dashboards, and documentation for performance monitoring and portfolio benchmarking.
