About The Position
Begin a career as part of the administrative team, utilizing your skills and abilities to change the life of a Job Corps student. This position is responsible for the supervision of the student leadership program, student leadership council, welfare fund, leadership instruction, religious and voting services, and welfare fund concessions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 1 year related experience
- Directly related experience may be considered in lieu of formal education requirements
- Experience with youth, excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer proficiency required
- Must possess or acquire within 60 days of employment, a valid UT class B CDL with passenger endorsement and an acceptable driving record is required
Responsibilities
- Develop center leadership program and provide leadership instruction; develop and prepare lessons for leadership classes
- Provide coordination and oversight among, and between, all student leadership positions to include staff representatives
- Supervise student leadership council, which includes maintaining communication with administration, scheduling and supervising meetings and guiding development of skills in self-government
- Coordinate the concessions operation and administer student welfare fund
- Chaperone student leadership functions
