About The Position

Entergy’s Transmission Department is responsible for planning, designing, constructing, maintaining and operating over 15,000 miles of transmission lines across the four-state territory. This role involves working in a team environment to assist engineers in day-to-day activities, including designing T-Line solutions, utilizing design software, estimating project costs, and participating in project construction and documentation. The intern will also support department business, safety initiatives, and work on special projects to improve grid reliability. Responsibilities include responding to equipment failures, maintaining models and drawings, and improving practices through automation. Some travel may be required.

Requirements

Actively enrolled and pursuing a bachelor's, master's, or doctorate degree in Electrical, Mechanical, and/or Civil Engineering for the duration of the internship.
Minimum classification as a sophomore or beyond at the time of hire.
Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 (on a 4.0 scale), verified through an official transcript from the previous semester.
Authorization to work in the United States is a precondition to employment.

Responsibilities

Assist engineers in day-to-day activities.
