About The Position

This position assists cooks and cook helpers in the preparation of student meals in compliance with government and management directives. The role involves performing clean-up and sanitation duties in food preparation, storage, and dish room areas to ensure adequate health standards. It also includes providing adequate supplies of food and transferring merchandise ingredients to the cooking area as instructed. Additional duties may include working at the student snack bar, cleaning outside areas, and other assigned tasks in the Admin Building. The position requires reliability and a willingness to work evenings and some weekends.

Requirements

• Must be a current Job Corps Center Student.
• Must be a completer and ready for work-based learning.
• Must have their student card.

Nice To Haves

• Currently enrolled in the Culinary Arts program.
