About The Position

This position reports to the food services supervisor or designee. The Student Intern assists the cooks and cook helpers in the preparation of student meals, ensuring compliance with government and management directives.

Requirements

  • Must be a completer and ready for work-based learning.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be a current Job Corps Center Student.
  • Qualified students will, at a minimum, have their student card.

Nice To Haves

  • Currently enrolled in the Culinary Arts program.

Responsibilities

  • Perform clean‑up and sanitation duties in the food preparation, storage and dish room areas to ensure adequate health standards at all times.
  • Provide adequate supply of food and transfer merchandise ingredients to cooking area as instructed by the cook or designee.
  • Clean the student snack bar outside area and perform other duties as assigned in the Admin Building.
