About The Position

This position reports to the food services supervisor or designee. The intern will assist cooks and cook helpers in the preparation of student meals in compliance with government and management directives. The role requires the applicant to be a current Job Corps student.

Requirements

• Must be a current Job Corps student.
• Must be a completer and ready for work-based learning.
• Must have their student card.

• Currently enrolled in the Culinary Arts program at Job Corps Center.

Responsibilities

• Perform clean-up and sanitation duties in the food preparation, storage, and dish room areas to ensure adequate health standards at all times.
• Provide adequate supply of food and transfer merchandise ingredients to the cooking area as instructed by the cook or designee.
• Operate the student snack bar, clean the outside area, and perform other duties as assigned in the Admin Building.
