Year-Round internships are available in Las Vegas, for full time Engineering students. The NV Energy Internship program is designed to ensure that it will challenge interns with meaningful work, expose them to a career in the energy industry, and help them transition from academics to the workforce. This internship opportunity is within the Operations Technology (OT) department and supports Energy Management System (EMS) operations and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) activities, including system monitoring, data analysis, and coordination with engineering and operations teams. Students will gain hands-on experience with critical utility systems in a fast-paced environment while working within an environment where cybersecurity is paramount, with strict compliance requirements, including NERC Critical Infrastructure Protection (NERC CIP) standards. Successful students can build upon their existing skills and explore valuable careers in a variety of areas such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
