Requirements

  • Enrolled in a post-secondary institution in a human resources management program preferably
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office - Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate considerable use of tact, diplomacy, discretion, and judgment
  • Ability to balance and prioritize tasks while maintaining the appropriate attention to detail and accuracy
  • Must be currently enrolled in a registered co-op program to be considered for these positions
  • Must also be available on a full-time basis for the duration of the co-op term
  • Current work authorization for Canada is required for all openings.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous work experience in HR is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Create, publish and track content for Fidelity Canada corporate intranet.
  • Provide daily lunch and vacation coverage for reception services.
  • Assist with the implementation of various projects that support the internal communication strategies (e.g. company achievements and milestones).
  • Consult with departments across Fidelity Canada regarding internal communications initiatives on a project-by-project basis.
  • Assist with the administration of Fidelity Canada’s corporate social responsibility strategy, including tracking employee volunteerism and internal campaigns.
  • Partner with recruiters and support them through all phases of the talent acquisition life cycle - including Workday processing, job postings, offer letters prep, onboarding processes i.e., backgrounds checks and application forms, reference checking, etc.
  • Reviews talent acquisition processes and recommends continuous improvement ideas to increase the function’s efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Complete a variety of ad hoc projects as assigned.
  • Partner with L&D designers to support the team through all phases of learning: from data collection, content creation, to delivery.
  • Learn how to be an administer in the learning management system (LMS) along with design-based tools to create content.
  • Learn about L&D and the future of learning for employees.
