Lake Country Co-op invites applications for the position of Student Gas Bar Clerk (After School, Weekends, & Holidays) at our Food Store location in Birch Hills, Saskatchewan. Requirements

  • Honest, trustworthy, results-oriented, and proud of the work that you do.
  • Strongly service-oriented, motivated, and capable of assisting customers in a courteous and efficient manner.
  • Well-organized and capable of attaining a high level of production with a minimum amount of supervision.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment.
  • Able to fulfill physical job requirements, including standing, working inside and outside, and lifting 20 to 25lbs regularly.
  • Possess or be willing to obtain WHMIS and propane dispensing certifications.
  • Possess a flexible work schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate the behaviors and actions to support Lake Country Co-operative’s vision, mission, and safety principles to make a difference in members’ lives with a strong customer-focused approach.
  • Provide legendary service at all touch points through various communication channels.
  • Provide fuel pump island and in-store service; serve guests, dispense fuel, operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, stock and face shelves, and perform general housekeeping duties.
  • Receive, price, and display merchandise as required as specified by the team leader.
  • Monitor code dates to always ensure the freshest inventory on the shelf; follow first in, first out (FIFO).
  • Maintain a safe and efficient area while adhering to company policies, procedure, and standards in social responsibility and the selling of age restricted items relating to lottery and tobacco.
  • Maintain a clean store by tidying shelves, bins, displays, breakages, and spills, and keeping aisles free of debris.
  • Ensure safety is held as the highest priority.
  • Complete the necessary daily reconciliations and reports.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.
