About The Position

Lake Country Co-op invites applications for the position of Full-Time Meat Clerk (40 hours/week) at our Food Store location in La Ronge, Saskatchewan. Lake Country Co-op does business differently. Requirements

  • Well-organized and capable of attaining a high level of production, with a minimum amount of supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
  • Able ability to work in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment.
  • Able to fulfill physical labour job requirements, including standing, performing regular heavy lifting, and working in refrigerated and freezer environments.
  • Possess a flexible work schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate the behaviors and actions to support Lake Country Co-operative’s vision, mission, and safety principles to make a difference in members’ lives, with a strong customer-focused approach.
  • Provide legendary service at all touch points through various communication channels.
  • Prepare meat products to Co-op standards, package and label finished products, and maintain production records.
  • Assist with cutting, trimming, and preparing meat as needed.
  • Operate meat wrapping and labeling equipment safely and correctly.
  • Clean and sanitize meat department equipment, including slicers, grinders, saws, tables, and knives.
  • Wash and disinfect floors, drains, walls, and work surfaces.
  • Maintain cleanliness of coolers, freezers, and storage areas.
  • Follow all Food Safe and Health and Safety regulations and procedures.
  • Monitor code dates and rotate inventory using First In, First Out (FIFO).
  • Support and follow Asset Protection and Safety Management systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
