About The Position

The Student Food Service Worker assists in preparing and serving Denver Public Schools meals in accordance with food and safety standards. Duties may include preparing food according to recipes, setting up serving lines, serving meals, cleaning and sanitizing dishes and kitchen areas, and operating a cash register. Requirements

Be a Denver Public Schools student at Contemporary Learning Academy High School.
Provide one letter of reference from a Dean, Counselor, Teacher, Assistant Principal, or Principal.
Be able to read, count, and perform simple math.
Lead for racial and educational excellence and work to dismantle systems of oppression and inequity in the community, while believing in and supporting all students so they feel seen and heard and have access to high-quality education.
Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado while working for DPS.
Be able, with or without accommodations, to meet the physical demands of the position.
