STUDENT - Fall 2026, Career Corner Podcast Host
About The Position
The Center for Career Exploration & Development is seeking an engaging and energetic Host to continue the successful career-focused podcast “Career Corner” into Season 7 and beyond. The podcast features interviews with students, alumni, faculty, professional staff, and industry experts, sharing success stories and career development information. As the face and voice of the show, the Host will prepare for and conduct interviews for this interview-based video podcast, which is released on YouTube and Spotify. This paid position allows a student to utilize their creativity and communication skills to foster engaging conversations about career exploration and development.
Requirements
- Knowledge of how to use editing audio and working with studio equipment and technology.
- Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills.

- Ability to present yourself professionally and confidently.

- Ability to utilize editing software and audio equipment.

Nice To Haves
- Proficiency in Adobe Audition, Pro Tools, Zoom, or other related software.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the student Producer to enact the podcast production timeline (approximately ten episodes per semester/season).
- Record interviews using IC recording equipment or personal laptop with IC alums, and current students/faculty/staff.
- Work with the Producer to develop engaging questions and themes for each episode.
- Work alongside the Director and Associate Director of the Career Center (along with other staff as needed) who will provide context and direction and will have final determination, along with other necessary stakeholders, regarding what the finished product needs to include.
