About The Position

The College of Southern Nevada (CSN) is seeking engaging, kind, and welcoming students to serve as student ambassadors for their respective campuses within the Career Services department. This department guides students in career development to achieve, succeed, and prosper. The role supports students, staff, and visitors by answering phones, managing appointments, assisting with campus events, and performing other duties as assigned. This position offers work experience that supports Associate of General Studies degree/certificate programs and is ideal for students seeking a friendly and peaceful work environment.

Requirements

Only students who have completed this year’s FAFSA and accepted the Student Employment Award in their Financial Aid Package are eligible to apply
Be friendly, outgoing, and willing to learn
Have an understanding of diverse and inclusive environments
Be able to follow directions and communicate effectively
Have knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Be punctual, reliable, and trustworthy
Resume/CV
Proof of Student Employment Award (e.g., CSN Award Notification or screenshot of accepted award)
Show a financial aid eligible major (degree or certificate program) declared with the CSN Office of the Registrar.
Meet Financial Aid Satisfactory Progress after each semester/term to qualify for employment within the academic year.
Show degree compliant enrollment for each semester/term for which funding is desired.
Be enrolled in at least 6 credits and meet additional eligibility requirements of the Silver State Regents Service Program for summer semester/term employment.
Students cannot work another part-time position within NSHE at the same time they are employed as a CSN College Work Study student.
