About The Position

The Student Engagement Coordinator I will maintain the prospective student outreach process and collaborate in assisting students with all aspects of their educational journey from discovery, to understanding the processes of program application, financial aid, transfer acceptance, accreditation, etc. This position requires the ability to articulate the role and benefits of Portage Learning in their journey.

Requirements

An associate or bachelor’s degree is required.
0-3 years of professional experience in a school or an institution of higher education, or related field.
Demonstrated knowledge of processes and procedures commonly used in higher education; these include transfer of credit, financial aid, and program application/acceptance processes.
Successful completion of a background check and current and/or ability to obtain the following clearances: Child Abuse, State Police, FBI Fingerprinting, and Mandated Reporter for Child Abuse.
Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Responsibilities

Engagement with prospective students to promote enrollment at Portage Learning.
Support the management of the student enrollment process and follow-up individually as needed.
Maintain up-to-date student contact information.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
