About The Position

This recruitment will be used to fill two part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) CoE Student Engagement Coordinator positions for the College of Engineering at Oregon State University (OSU). The College of Engineering (CoE) External Relations team is seeking an organized, detail-oriented student to join our team part-time (an average of 6-9 hours per week). This position supports both the College of Engineering Events and Donor Engagement programs, contributing to meaningful experiences for alumni, donors, students, faculty, and friends of the college. The Engagement Team Student Assistant will divide their time between event support and donor engagement activities. The position reports directly to the Associate Director of Events, who serves as the supervisor of record, while also providing regular support to the Associate Director of Donor Engagement. The student will work closely with both team members and will receive assignments and project direction based on operational needs. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, professionalism, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.

Requirements

  • Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
  • Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
  • Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
  • Ability to work an average of 6-9 hours per week during the academic year, with occasional flexibility for special events in the office (Covell Hall) or at event spaces on campus.
  • Availability during Fall, Winter, and Spring terms of the 2026-2027 school year unless otherwise discussed with hiring manager.
  • Ability to communicate in a professional, positive, and friendly manner.
  • Experience in an office and/or event setting.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Workspace.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity and inclusion.

  • Must successfully complete a Criminal History Check and be determined to be position qualified.
  • Must successfully complete a Motor Vehicle History Check, possess and maintain a current, valid driver's license in their state of residence, be determined to be position qualified.

Responsibilities

  • Data entry and maintaining event-related records and documentation
  • Drafting event communications and documents
  • Creating and printing name tags
  • Delivering/picking up event equipment, materials or mail to COE event locations
  • Editing, formatting, and preparing donor engagement materials and reports
  • Printing, assembling, and mailing stewardship and donor communications
  • Drafting stewardship materials such as impact pieces, thank-you notes, and related collateral
  • Assisting with data analysis and reporting projects to improve stewardship efforts
