The Engineering Student Engagement Coordinator plays a vital role in enhancing student involvement, leadership growth, and academic success within the University of Wisconsin–Madison College of Engineering. Through the design, delivery, and evaluation of co-curricular programs, this position enriches the undergraduate experience by helping students discover their interests, develop key skills, and build connections across the engineering community. As a key contributor to the College’s new ImagiNEXT initiative, the coordinator helps broaden access to transformative hands-on opportunities that foster experiential learning, leadership development, global immersion, and engagement with industry and community partners. In collaboration with others, this role coordinates logistics for international and domestic immersion programs, facilitates professional and career development travel for students, develops and leads first-year engineering interest groups, and manages the college-wide student experience symposium and other initiatives. By creating meaningful pathways for involvement and growth, the coordinator advances the College’s commitment to preparing engineers who are equipped to lead with empathy, purpose, and impact in a rapidly changing world.
