About The Position

The Student Employee in the Department of Audiology and Speech Pathology provides support for research, clinical operations, and community outreach initiatives. This position assists faculty and staff with participant recruitment, data collection and management, clinical equipment and device tracking, patient scheduling, and preparation of research and clinical materials. The Student Employee will also support the Clinical Education Director with outreach efforts, including social media engagement, community outreach activities, and partnerships with student organizations. This position provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in research, clinical operations, and professional engagement within the fields of audiology and speech-language pathology.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Must be a student at UAMS CHP Dept of Audiology and Speech Pathology.
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
  • Criminal Background Check

Responsibilities

  • Assist with participant recruitment and scheduling.
  • Conduct literature reviews and support research-related activities.
  • Assist with data collection, entry, organization, and analysis.
  • Maintain and organize research equipment and devices.
  • Prepare and organize research materials, including consent forms and protocols.
  • Support the Clinical Education Director with outreach initiatives, including social media engagement, community outreach, and partnerships with student organizations.
