About The Position
This is a fast-paced, 17-day state certified nurse aide training program. To be considered for the class, applicants must provide a completed application, valid photo identification, and Social Security card at the time of their interview. No absences or tardiness are permitted during the 17-day course, and students must maintain an 85% grade average to continue. A criminal background check and registry check (Tennessee and/or National Abuse Registry for Children and Adults) will be conducted. Individuals with felony convictions, certain misdemeanor charges, or those found on the abuse registry will not be admitted. Students will be notified by phone on or before the Friday before the class begins at 10:00 AM if they have been accepted. Selection is based on facility need, shift availability, entrance exam score, candidate flexibility, previous work history, and attitude.
