About The Position

We are seeking a motivated Student Associate to provide part-time technical and administrative support to the Center's Information Technology team. This position offers hands-on experience supporting a research environment through computer setup and maintenance, user support, technology troubleshooting, documentation, and other IT-related projects. The ideal candidate is customer service-oriented, organized, eager to learn new technologies, and able to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students.

Requirements

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience with software applications, including web and content management systems.
Experience with computer hardware set up.
Experience with AV set up.
Student required to be enrolled in at least 6 hours in long semesters.

Responsibilities

Provide first-level technical support to PRC faculty, staff, and students, escalating issues to IT staff as needed.
Assist with the setup, deployment, and maintenance of computers, printers, and other technology equipment.
Help install, configure, and update software applications and operating systems.
Maintain inventory of computer equipment, peripherals, and IT supplies.
Assist with user account management, password resets, and basic technology troubleshooting.
Support conference room technology, audiovisual equipment, and virtual meeting setups.
Document IT procedures, update technical guides, and maintain knowledge base resources.
Assist with routine maintenance, equipment replacements, and office technology projects.
Provide support for website updates and other technology-related administrative tasks as assigned.
Perform other technology and administrative support duties to assist the PRC IT team.
