About The Position
This position functions as a Student Research Assistant to provide support for the daily operations of a research laboratory within the Department of Medicine, specifically in IM Pulmonary Critical Care and Sleep. The role involves assisting with research activities under direct supervision, collecting and organizing research data, preparing media, solutions, and reagents for experiments, performing and maintaining cell cultures, conducting library research, washing and sterilizing laboratory glassware, tools, and equipment, and assisting with inventory and maintenance of research supplies.
Requirements
- Must complete all necessary documents when starting the application process.

- A drug screen or physical may be required during the post offer process.
Responsibilities
- Functions as a Student Research Assistant to provide support of daily operations in a research laboratory within the Name of Department
- Assists with research activities under direct supervision
- Assists with collection of and organizes research data
- Prepares media, solutions, and reagents for use in experiments
- Performs and maintains cell cultures
- Conducts library research
- Washes glassware used in laboratory
- Autoclaves (sterilizes) glassware, tools and equipment as needed
- Assists with inventory and maintenance of research supplies
