About The Position

The Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a Student Affairs Work Study to provide administrative support to the Office of Student Affairs and Admissions (OSAA). This role involves assisting with front desk duties, processing student-facing requests, maintaining office supplies, supporting event planning, giving student tours, and updating new student information. The position is expected to continue until May 15, 2027, and requires a Federal Work Study award.

Requirements

  • Current undergraduate student at The University of Texas at Austin
  • Must have a Federal Work Study Award for the 2026-2027 Academic Year.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with front desk duties
  • Student facing
  • Process OSAA inbox daily
  • Process room reservation requests for students and staff
  • Upkeep office to ensure all areas are presentable
  • Maintain supply inventory in office and order supplies for the office
  • Assist all staff with event planning and assigned projects
  • Give student tours
  • Keep our new student checklist updated - work with staff to ensure all events, deadlines, reminders and other important info for new students is added in a proactive manner.
