About The Position

The College of Southern Nevada (CSN) is seeking a College Work Study Student for the Veteran's Affairs department for the Fall 2026 semester. This position will support the CSN Veterans Education Resource and Transition Services Center, which aims to encourage and empower students to achieve academic excellence, personal well-being, and a strong sense of community. The student will assist with various administrative and student support tasks, contributing to the overall services provided to CSN students and staff.

Requirements

• Only students who have completed this year’s FAFSA and accepted the Student Employment Award in their Financial Aid Package are eligible to apply.
• Must have a financial aid eligible major (degree or certificate program) declared with the CSN Office of the Registrar.
• Must meet Financial Aid Satisfactory Progress after each semester/term to qualify for employment within the academic year.
• Must show degree compliant enrollment for each semester/term for which funding is desired.
• Must be enrolled in at least 6 credits and meet additional eligibility requirements of the Silver State Regents Service Program for summer semester/term employment.
• Students cannot work another part-time position within NSHE at the same time they are employed as a CSN College Work Study student.

Responsibilities

• Answering and transferring calls using a multi-line phone system
• Retrieving and responding to voicemails
• Assisting walk-in students
• Assisting with appointment scheduling
• Participating and assisting in campus events
• Additional duties as assigned
