About The Position

Assist staff with various projects and administrative duties in the Bureau/Department. Perform basic work activities applicable to the area of assignment, including human resources, technology, finance, research, clerical/administrative, law, and policy. Maintain and manage basic duties, including general office tasks, responding to phone calls and emails, scheduling and coordinating meetings, and maintaining accurate records and databases. Assist in organizing events and logistics and managing office supplies, placing orders, and inventory. Consult other staff for complex issues and challenges. This is a 10-week temporary full-time position from Monday, June 8, 2026 through Friday, August 14, 2026

Requirements

  • Current enrollment as a full-time undergraduate student in an accredited college or university is required.
  • Knowledge of correct business, legal, or other technical language usage and their proper applications to business forms, letters, records, and reports.
  • Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
  • Skill in verbal and written communication and ability to gather information from others, make inquiries, convey information, and explain or describe basic office policy and procedure to others in person or via email or telephone.
  • Skill and accuracy in the organization and maintenance of extensive files.
  • Skill in exercising sound judgment and ability to use discretion and tact relative to problems or situations involving staff, other offices/agencies, and the general public.
  • Skill in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
