About The Position

Develop, implement, and evaluate student-focused services, programs, and initiatives that enhance student engagement and support the mission of the Division of Student Affairs. The Student Organizations and Leadership Coordinator will support Registered Student Organizations (RSOs) in executing their mission and vision through leadership development, coaching, and policy communication. This role will maintain the central calendaring and organization management platform for RSOs, including facilitating annual re-registration. This position will facilitate small- and large-scale student leadership events throughout the academic year and work with the Service, Leadership, and Community Engagement (SLCE) Office team to host additional student programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 2 years of progressively responsible professional experience related to the duties of the position.

  • Master’s degree in higher education, student personnel management, public affairs, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, plans, implements, and evaluates student-focused leadership & RSO programs, services, and initiatives.
  • Collaborates with departments, committees, and campus partners to enhance program effectiveness and student engagement.
  • In collaboration with student organization leaders, this position coordinates Involvement Fest each semester.
  • Communicates closely with Division of Student Affairs leadership and institutional partners to ensure changes implemented at the university and state level are reflected in RSO student policies and trainings.
  • Designs and executes outreach, marketing, and educational strategies to promote programs and increase participation.
  • Analyzes program data and feedback to assess effectiveness and recommend improvements.
  • Recruits, trains, supervises, and evaluates student employees, interns, or volunteers; provides ongoing guidance to RSO leaders and advisors.
  • Manages program operations, including scheduling, logistics, and resource coordination.
  • Serves as the primary manager for Cowbell, the University of Wyoming's RSO management platform.
  • Assists with budget management, including tracking expenditures and making recommendations for resource allocation.
  • Supports and contributes to SLCE Office programs such as the Big Event and Alternative Breaks as well as broader Student Affairs initiatives and divisional priorities.
  • Participate in committees or working groups.
  • Contribute to development of procedures and best practices.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
