About The Position

This position supports and coordinates the implementation of student-focused services, programs, and activities within the Division of Student Affairs at the University of Wyoming. The role involves supporting student staff, coordinating event setups, providing logistical support for programs, communicating with customers, maintaining public spaces, managing inventory, identifying building concerns, and ensuring compliance with policies and standards. The position also includes supplemental functions such as assisting with the management of the Wyoming Union's art collection and performing other related duties.

Responsibilities

  • Support and train student staff to assist with operations across auxiliary and event spaces within the Wyoming Union.
  • Coordinate and assist with event setups to ensure meeting rooms and event spaces are prepared according to customer specifications.
  • Provide logistical support for programs and activities, including scheduling, reservations, communications, and event execution.
  • Communicate with customers before, during, and after events to provide excellent customer service and respond to changing needs.
  • Support the upkeep and presentation of public lounge, dining, seating, meeting, and event spaces.
  • Track and manage Union inventory and maintain organized storage and event spaces.
  • Identify building or equipment concerns and communicate needed repairs or additional support to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Ensure event setups and operations comply with applicable University policies, fire code, ADA standards, and other relevant requirements.
  • Work a schedule that may include evenings and weekends to support Union events and operations.
  • Assist with the management and maintenance of the Wyoming Union’s loan and permanent art collection.
  • Assist with communication, scheduling, documentation, record keeping, and other operational needs.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
