The Student Accounts Representative is responsible for providing administrative support in all areas to include customer service and receptionist duties. This position will provide responses to students, parents, and other University offices regarding inquiries about billing statements, financial aid, student loans and/or other information requested that is related to the Student Information System.

Requirements

  • The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma
  • At least one year of bookkeeping, basic accounting, billing, or a related field
  • At least three years of customer service experience
  • Knowledge basic accounting principles
  • Knowledge of filing and recordkeeping procedures
  • Ability to record fiscal information and manipulate data to generate reports and documents
  • Knowledge of computers and software application programs
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
  • Knowledge of customer service techniques
  • Ability to communicate using clear communication skills which could include but not be limited to the following methods: personal face-to-face contact, using e-mail or other written correspondence, and through telephone contact
  • Ability to interpret department policies and procedures
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Daily processing of treainfo email inquiries and Treasurer's Office mail processing
  • Assisting students, parents, and University faculty and staff regarding student account inquiries
  • Regular review and processing of items like BankMobile preference inactive reports, Registered Student Organizations check requests and fundraisers, Student Information Systems payment reversals.
  • Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
