About The Position

Creates and justifies engineering dispositions for nonconformances of composite and metallic, pressurized and non-pressurized aircraft structures. Covers all components of the aircraft including Wing, Fuselage, and Empennage. Analyzes and rapidly designs repairs based on equivalent strength or stiffness of surrounding structure while in a schedule-driven environment. Uses Catia V5 for engineering design, modeling, and drawing review. Uses Solumina for manufacturing execution and work instruction systems. Uses SmarTeam for product lifecycle and PLM database management. Uses Corridor for work instruction authoring and manufacturing planning. Applies structures MRB engineering in production and schedule-driven environments. Performs repair analysis and documentation for aerospace structural nonconformances. Reads and interprets engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering is required.
  • Minimum 13 years of dedicated Structures MRB Engineering experience at a recognized Aerospace Manufacturer is required.
  • Experience credit for related advanced degrees is limited to 2 years for Masters and 4 years for PhD.
  • Experience must include creation and justification of engineering dispositions for nonconformances of composite and metallic, pressurized and non-pressurized aircraft structures.
  • Experience must include all components of the aircraft including Wing, Fuselage, and Empennage.
  • Experience must be in a production or schedule-driven environment.
  • Capability to analyze and rapidly design repairs based on equivalent strength or stiffness of surrounding structure is required.
  • Computer literacy with Catia V5, Solumina, SmarTeam, Corridor, Word, and Excel is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Aircraft modification experience is preferred.
